There’s something about the written word, a certain beauty and grit in the soul of a handwritten note or a sign painted by hand.
Truth & Light is a collection of images that celebrates the written word and the messages they carry. These hand-painted signs, all tucked away by the roadsides of central rural Texas, carry in their humble design a profession of one person’s faith. These are not decorations, mass-produced to be loud or clever. They are invitations to live in simplicity and authenticity.
Light is the medium of the photographer, but it is also the direction to which these images point. Truth & Light is about accepting the invitation, listening for truth, and getting back to the soul of the written word.
The boxed set contains twelve note cards printed in two colors on 100 lb.Cougar Opaque Super Smooth cover, with matching A-6 envelopes. They are blank on the inside.
Simple truths. That’s what this collection of images represents. Each one reflects one person’s profession of their faith, shared by openly posting along the roadside – inviting us to slow down, simplify, and get back to the written word.
