About

A native Houstonian, Wayne Ford has been providing graphic design and related services to diverse clients in this area for more than 40 years.

He began his professional career with Baxter+Korge, Inc. As Art Director there, he worked with clients such as Houston Natural Gas Corporation, Texas Commerce Bank, Exxon and The American Red Cross.

In 1979, Wayne became a founding partner in the graphic design firm of Miller Judson and Ford, where he managed concept development, design, production and coordination of projects for corporate clients like DSC Communications, Butler & Binion, American General Life and Mitchell Interests.

Ford Design opened in 1994, powered by the conviction that a direct interaction between client and designer not only provides a more efficient design process, it also results in a finished product that more effectively captures the client’s intent. A current client list includes clients as diverse as Baylor College of Medicine, PMC Ammunition and Goode Company Restaurants.

As an independent designer, Wayne is ideally positioned to offer a combination of the responsiveness and accountability of a small firm, with the strategic access to a network of the region’s top photographers, writers and related partners that is typically available only with larger agencies or design firms.

Wayne’s work has been recognized by a number of organizations, including: Print Magazine; AIGA; Portfolio Magazine (Japan); The Society of Publication Designers; The Dallas Society of Visual Communications; Houston Ad Federation and The Art Directors Club of Houston. He has served on the board of directors for AIGA/Texas and The Art Directors Club of Houston, and was also a judge on the School Art Committee for The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
